SolvRite provides SolvRite Homework Helper, a homework helper app that lets users scan or import a homework image, crop the question, and request an AI-assisted explanation.
Information We Collect
- Homework images and cropped image data that you choose to submit for solving.
- Problem text, generated answers, solution steps, sources, and solve history.
- Anonymous session identifiers, device-generated client identifiers, app version, subscription/trial state, and basic usage state needed to operate the app.
- Feedback you submit through the app, including any contact details or message content you choose to provide.
Camera And Photo Access
The app requests camera access so you can scan homework questions and photo library access so you can choose an existing homework image. We do not access your camera or photo library unless you grant permission and use those features. Images are uploaded only when you submit a question for solving.
How We Use Information
- To process homework questions and return AI-assisted answers.
- To save and display solve history for the user experience.
- To maintain anonymous sessions, trial state, and app settings.
- To improve app reliability, support, and educational content.
- To detect misuse, abuse, or technical issues.
AI Processing And Service Providers
Submitted questions and images may be processed by backend services and AI providers so the app can generate explanations. These providers are used only to operate the solving feature and related app functionality.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers that help operate hosting, databases, app services, AI processing, support, and security. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the app, users, or the public.
Data Retention And Deletion
Solve history may be stored so you can revisit previous answers. You can delete solve history in the app where available. You can also request deletion of associated app data by contacting support or using the account/data deletion page.
Children And Students
The app is intended as a general homework aid. It is not intended to collect sensitive information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted information that should be removed, contact us and we will review the request.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect app data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app changes. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
